Nicholas O'Shea

Nicholas O'Shea is the Manager at AVENCORE. Nicholas has also worked as a Consultant at Illinois Business Consulting and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

As a Consultant at Illinois Business Consulting, Nicholas collaborated with a Fortune 100 client to develop a beachhead strategy for a mobile application. Nicholas developed recommendations from first-hand interviews of 50 customers and presented weekly updates to client leadership regarding progress of the collaboration.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Nicholas was responsible for leading demonstrations and assisting with student labs for the Nuclear Engineering Materials Laboratory course. Nicholas was also responsible for grading student lab reports and providing instructional feedback. For the Nuclear Power Economics and Fuel Management course, Nicholas was responsible for grading student homework assignments and exams, as well as holding weekly office hours.

As a Graduate Research Assistant at the Socio-Technical Risk Analysis (SoTeRiA) Research Lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Nicholas conducted research on socio-technical systems.

Nicholas O'Shea has a Master's Degree in Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Nicholas also has a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Nuclear, Plasma, & Radiological Engineering: Power, Safety & Environment from the same school.
