Brandon Walter has over 18 years of professional experience in the software engineering industry. Theircareer began in 2002 as a Software Engineer at RTD Embedded Technologies, Inc. where they developed a 'quick boot' BIOS feature that generated a sales increase for all CPU-related products. In 2005, they held two concurrent positions as a Software Engineer at Triumfant, Inc. and IBM. At Triumfant, Inc. they modularized code for upcoming new releases based on the .NET framework, and at IBM they developed the front-end JavaScript solution for an enterprise network management product, developed Java code for a framework that provides clients/administrators a consolidated view of deployed Tivoli products, and provided technical support assistance to enterprise customers and IBM services for the WebSphere Portal product. In 2014, Brandon co-founded a startup called Sparkie that provides cloud solutions for animal rescue groups to manage animal intake, and developed a SPA from scratch leveraging MongoDB, ExpressJS, Aurelia and NodeJS. Brandon sold their share of the company in late 2016. From 2018 to 2021, they held various roles at CloudBolt Software, including Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Scrum Master. In this role, they lead a greenfield development project overseeing both backend and frontend development leveraging Java 11 and Vue.js of a 14 member development team, and implemented a modern UI leveraging Vue. In 2021, they began working as an Engineering Manager at Spreedly, and in 2022 they became the Director of Software Engineering at AveriSource.

Brandon Walter obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001. In 2017, they received a Certified SAFe 4 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
