Ryan Fortna

Ryan Fortna has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Ryan currently serves as the President of Avero Diagnostics since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of President at Northwest Pathology starting from July 2010. Ryan also served as the President of AFFIRMATIV health from May 2016 to September 2017.

Before their roles as President, Ryan worked as an Anatomic Pathology Resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from July 2006 to June 2009. Ryan began their career in the healthcare field at the University of Pennsylvania, where they worked as a Med Student, Grad student, and Resident from 1999 to 2009.

Ryan Fortna completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cell Biology/Biochemistry from Bucknell University in the period from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Pennsylvania from 1999 to 2009, where they earned an MD and PhD. Ryan'sfields of study during their time at the University of Pennsylvania included Pathology, Dermatopathology, Medicine, and Cell and Molecular Biology.
