Jared's career started in the Missouri Department of Corrections, where they served as a Corrections Officer from November 2008 to August 2013. During this time, they received recognition for saving an offender's life, receiving a DOC Lifesaver award and resolutions from the State of Missouri Senate and House.

Jared Clayborn obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Programming/Programmer, General from Moberly Area Community College, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed the Advanced Individual Training program in Information Systems Operator/Analyst (25B) at the US Army in 2004 to 2005, which lasted for 6 months. In addition to their educational background, they obtained a certification in WorkKeys from ACT in May 2014.
