Fred Cobb

Fred Cobb has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Fred currently serves as a Solutions Architect at Avertium, starting in March 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at InfoSystems, Inc. beginning in May 2019, including Executive Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer.

From April 2011 to December 2018, Fred was the Vice President of Services at Sword & Shield Enterprise Security, Inc. During their time there, they developed and led the startup of the Enterprise Security Solutions Directorate and Managed Security Services Program.

Before that, Fred worked at Nuclear Safety Associates as an Information Systems Security Officer from 2010 to 2011, and at the Missile Defense Agency as an Integrated Test Lab Architect/Manager from 2009 to 2010.

Fred also has experience as a Systems Engineer IV ITOPS Project Lead at Scripps Networks Interactive from 2008 to 2009, and as an IT Windows Team Supervisor/Senior Systems Administrator/IT Project Manager at Pilot Flying J from 2007 to 2008.

Fred's career began in 1979 at Hewlett-Packard, where they gained valuable field engineering and technical team leadership experience. Fred later worked as a Technical Instructor at New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Knoxville, TN from 1996 to 2006.

Throughout their career, Fred has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in areas such as information security, network architecture, virtualization, and project management.

Fred Cobb holds a B.S. in Applied Management from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN. Fred has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including but not limited to: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, SC-200 Microsoft Security Operations Analyst, MS-500 Microsoft Certified Security Administrator Associate, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate AZ-500. In addition, they hold the Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) certification obtained in 2014 from (ISC)². Fred has additional certifications such as AlienVault Certified Systems Engineer, CISSP, Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and Project Management Professional (PMP), but the institutions and dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
