Mike W. is a seasoned professional in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) with extensive experience in information management and healthcare compliance. Currently serving as a Managing Consultant at Avertium since August 2020, Mike previously held roles at Cornerstone of Recovery, Inc. from December 2004 to August 2020, including HIPAA Privacy & Security Officer and Director of Information Management. During this tenure, Mike was responsible for ensuring compliance with patient security and privacy regulations and managing the health information management group. Additionally, Mike contributed as a Computer Networking Advisory Board Member at Virginia College from May 2012 to May 2017 and oversaw IT infrastructure projects as Supervisor of Retail Store Support & Infrastructure at Williams from February 1997 to May 2003.
