Stefan Sutter has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Stefan started their career in 1987 at Metallbau Koller, where they held various roles until 1995. In 1996, they joined Ammann Group as an Assistant to the Owner for a brief period before transitioning to Ulrich Ammann AG as the CEO. In 2001, Stefan changed the company name to Avesco AG and became the CEO, leading the company through various transformative initiatives. These initiatives included acquiring Outiloc and establishing Avesco Rent as a market leader in the rental industry. Stefan also founded Chronoflex AG, a prominent hydraulic hose service. Stefan expanded Avesco's offerings in the construction industry by adding products such as Thwaites dumper, Terex Finlay screening and crushing, and Schwing Stetter concrete mixing and pumping. In 2014, they created Fast Rent SA, a digital rental process with dynamic pricing. Stefan also oversaw the international expansion of the company, opening a subsidiary in Austria and expanding drilling expertise with products from Sandvik, Klemm, and Bauer. In 2016, they acquired the Caterpillar Dealerships in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia, and in 2018, they established new Avesco Rent outlets in these countries. Stefan's tenure at Avesco concluded in 2019 when they transitioned from the CEO role to become the CEO Group.

Stefan Sutter obtained a Dipl. Maschineningenieur ETH degree in Technischen Betriebswissenschaften from ETH Zürich in 1987.
