James Thackray

James Thackray is an experienced in-house lawyer and leader currently serving as VP and Deputy General Counsel at AVEVA. Previously, they held the position of Lead Counsel at Vodafone, where they built and developed a legal team supporting a wide range of business operations. Earlier in their career, James worked at Pannone LLP, advancing from Solicitor to Legal Director, and began their professional journey as a Trainee Solicitor at Herbert Smith. They hold a Master’s degree in Law from Jesus College, Cambridge, and completed the LPC at Nottingham Law School.
