Jay Mallya

Jay Mallya is a highly experienced professional in the fields of Engineering R&D and Industrial Automation. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of R&D at AVEVA since July 2019, Mallya previously held the position of Assistant Vice President at Cognizant Technology Solutions from September 2009 to June 2019, where responsibilities included global delivery oversight for Engineering R&D across multiple portfolios. Mallya's extensive background includes leadership roles at Invensys Development Center India Pvt Ltd, directing a team of over 130 engineers, and significant experience at Cray Research Inc. with a focus on supercomputing process simulation solutions. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Irvine, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
