Michael Kelley

Michael Kelley has a diverse work experience in the audio-visual and theater industries. Michael started their career as a Technical Specialist at AVEX Audio Visual in 2006 and gradually progressed to become a Project Manager, Director of Operations, and finally the Vice President - Operations. At AVEX, they played a key role in overseeing operations and managing projects. In 2010, they joined Pioneer Place Theatre Company as an Artistic Director, where they were responsible for selecting and organizing the company's show season, directing productions, managing the budget, and designing training programs. In 2014, they founded Wayward Theatre Company in Minneapolis, which focuses on producing challenging work in unconventional spaces. As the Principal, they lead the company and aims to challenge traditional approaches to staging.

Michael Kelley earned their High School Diploma from Howard Lake Waverly-Winsted between 1996 and 2001. Following their high school education, they attended Augsburg University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre/Theater.
