Eric Newkirk

Eric Newkirk has extensive experience in the event production and design industry, holding leadership positions that highlight expertise in creative direction, team management, and project execution. As VP of Design & Creative at AVFX from May 1998 to July 2016, responsibilities included leading content development services and problem-solving initiatives. Newkirk also served as General Manager, overseeing hiring, budgeting, and team alignment. In addition, Newkirk was a Board Member and later President at Event Production Network from January 2019 to January 2024. Prior roles include Director of Show Services at Multimedia Audio Visual and various positions in technical theater, including work as a stagehand and rigger. Newkirk holds a BA in Theater from the University of Colorado Boulder, earned from January 1987 to January 1993.
