Matt Shapiro

Matt Shapiro, SPHR, is an HR expert with extensive experience in talent acquisition, human resources management, and consulting. Currently serving as the Human Resources Director at AVFX, Shapiro also volunteers as an HR consultant for non-profit organizations through Catchafire. Previously, Shapiro held various HR leadership roles, including Director of Human Resources at Canopy Growth Corporation and HR Manager at ADT, where they implemented strategic initiatives that significantly improved employee retention and compliance. Shapiro founded and operated Human Resources Counsel, LLC, providing comprehensive HR services to various industries. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of Colorado.
