Javier Gutierrez

Javier Gutierrez has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Javier started their career as an intern at Banco de la Republica in 2007 and then progressed to become a Financial Stability Analyst. Javier later became a Financial Stability Specialized Analyst before leaving the company in 2012. In 2013, they joined the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit as an Advisor to the Head of Macroeconomic Policy. After six years, in 2019, they became the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Finance at the Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público. In the same year, they also served as a Board Member at FINDETER. In 2020, they took on a role as a Board Member at Colombia Telecomunicaciones SA. Currently, they hold the position of Chief of Staff at Avianca, and in 2023, they will transition to the role of Director Corporate Development.

Javier Gutierrez holds a Master's degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, which they obtained in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics at the same university from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Harvard Kennedy School from 2016 to 2018.
