Avicon
David Demers has extensive experience in supply chain management and innovation. David is currently a Senior Fellow at the Global Supply Chain Institute at the University of Tennessee, a role they have held since January 2020. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as CEO of Avicon, Inc. starting in February 2018. David also founded Avicon Learning Resources in December 2011, which focused on building supply chain innovation competency through development programs for corporations, military, and governmental organizations. David has additional experience as an Adjunct Professor in Supply Chain Management at Northeastern University since June 2008 and as Affiliated Faculty in Supply Chain Management at The Pennsylvania State University since 2005. David served as Managing Director at Avicon Partners from December 1999 to February 2010 and co-founded Avicon in 2000. Earlier in their career, David worked in supply chain strategy at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1984 to 1994.
David Demers attended Northeastern University from 1969 to 1974, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Supply Chain Management. David then pursued further education at Penn State University from 1974 to 1975 and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Supply Chain Management.
