Bill Lurie

Bill Lurie is an experienced engineering executive with a robust background in hardware development and management. Currently serving as Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Avid since August 2014, Bill is accountable for engineering management, product development, and quality engineering for audio hardware. Prior to this role, Bill worked as an Engineering Consultant at FirePower Technology, Inc. for a brief period, and held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Qualstar Corporation/N2Power, contributing to strategic corporate planning and overseeing a multi-discipline engineering department. Bill's extensive tenure at Qualstar Corporation from 1996 to 2012 included roles as Engineering Manager and Mechanical Engineering Manager, as well as Mechanical Engineer, focusing on product development and mechanical design. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, earned between 1991 and 1996.
