Jim West

Jim West is an accomplished Senior Director in Audio Software Engineering at Avid, with extensive experience in managing and developing audio software products, including Pro Tools and various plug-ins. West has held several positions at Avid since 1998, starting as a DSP Software Applications Engineer and advancing to Senior Program Manager, where responsibilities included leading cross-functional teams and overseeing project management for product introductions. Previous roles included positions at the Advanced Television Technology Center as an Engineer Intern, ANSER as a Research Intern, and SAIC as a Programmer Intern. West holds a Certificate in Energy Resource Management from the University of California, Davis, a Master’s degree in Music Engineering from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
