Mark Chesak

Mark Chesak is a seasoned editor and writer with extensive experience in the television and film industries. Since August 1998, Mark has freelanced, contributing to longform documentaries and sports films for prominent networks such as NBC Sports, PBS, ESPN, and Discovery Channel. Mark has held professor positions at Boston University and Emerson College since 2012 and 2008, respectively, focusing on editing techniques and journalistic storytelling. As an Avid Certified Instructor since 1999, Mark has worked with various institutions, including Harvard University and Fort Bragg’s Kennedy School. Mark has collaborated with notable filmmakers, including Thomas Draudt at ActualSize Productions, where a project won Best Short Documentary at the 2020 Monmouth Film Festival. Other key roles include completing high-profile projects for FRONTLINE PBS and editing for EditShare. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
