Founder & Managing Partner at Avid Ventures

Addie is the Founder & Managing Partner of Avid Ventures. As a career institutional investor, Addie spent the prior decade at General Catalyst, General Atlantic, and Goldman Sachs’s Special Situations Group. At these firms, she helped to deploy over $450M across eighteen investments in fintech, consumer internet, and software companies spanning North America, Europe, and Israel. While at General Catalyst, Addie realized she could uniquely support her portfolio companies including Rapyd, Monzo, Remesh, and Chief by applying her growth-stage skill set and perspective to help early-stage companies evolve into proven growth businesses.

Addie is an active leader of All Raise’s New York City chapter, where she serves as co-head of the Community and Marketing Committee to help promote and advance women in the venture capital and technology ecosystems. In 2020 she was recognized as one of NYC Fintech Women’s “50 Inspiring Fintech Females” in the “Money Makers” category. She was also featured on the 2019 Forbes “30 Under 30” Venture Capital list.

Addie graduated with honors in 2011 from Princeton University where she earned an A.B. in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and a certificate in Near Eastern Studies. Although she lives in New York City with her fiancé, Addie is originally from Newton, Massachusetts, and remains a lifelong Red Sox fan.
