Barbara Copeland is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in the AVID program, currently serving as Executive Director at AVID Center since 2007, and has held multiple leadership roles including State Director, Area Director, and Program Manager. Prior experience includes serving as AVID District Director and teacher at Hoffman Middle School from 1996 to 2007, and teaching and coaching at North Shore High School from 1992 to 1996 and Seguin High School from 1986 to 1990. Barbara Copeland holds a Bachelor's of Education in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching and a Bachelor's of Arts in Teaching from Sam Houston State University, as well as a Master's of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia Portland Alumni & Friends.
