Cary Johnson

Cary Johnson serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for Brea Olinda Unified School District and an instructor in the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program at the University of California, Irvine's Division of Continuing Education, both since March 2025. With extensive experience in educational leadership, Cary Johnson was previously the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction/Education & Support Services at CUSD and held various roles within the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, including Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, Cary Johnson contributed significantly to the North Orange County Career Access Partnership, overseeing the consortium's implementation of a $6 million grant. Leadership roles also include principal positions at Tehachapi Unified School District and Antelope Valley Union High School District, with accolades including recognition as a California Distinguished School and National Blue Ribbon School. Cary Johnson holds a Doctor of Education from California State University, Fullerton, along with several other degrees and credentials in education and political economy.
