Rickey Hill is an experienced educator and leader in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIJB). Currently serving as the Director of DEIJB at Sheridan School, Rickey supports the development of DEIJB programming and collaborates with admissions for diverse student outreach. Rickey's previous roles include Middle Grades Social Studies Teacher, where an inclusive and anti-racist history curriculum was designed and implemented. As a staff developer at AVID Center, Rickey has led professional development in various educational areas and provided resources for educational stakeholders. Recognized for excellence, Rickey was named Teacher of the Year in 2018 at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Rickey holds a Master of Education in K-12 Literacy from Queens University of Charlotte and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Africana Studies, and History from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
