Steve Silberman

Steve Silberman currently serves as the Executive Vice President at AVID Center, overseeing various functions including marketing, communications, and strategic planning for a national nonprofit dedicated to closing the achievement gap in education. Previously, Steve held multiple roles at Gannett from 2002 to 2015, including Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, where responsibilities involved developing innovative products for the publishing division, and President of the Northwest Region, managing media organizations and strategic operations. An experienced journalist, Steve also served as President and Publisher at Statesman Journal Media and Executive Editor at Desert Sun Media Group, leading news operations and marketing initiatives. Steve's educational background includes a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Vassar College.
