Brian Gallagher

Brian is a co-founder and Vice President of Research and Development at Avidien. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Masters of Science in Industrial Design from the University of New South Wales. Brian has over 15 years of experience developing products for a variety of industries, including Industrial, Consumer and Medical.

He has previously held positions as Group Leader for Advanced Development and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Philips Aging and Caregiving, where he drove device strategy and successfully led numerous medical device development projects. He was also a Senior Design Engineer at Datum 3D, a Boston area design consultancy, where he developed innovative solutions for a variety of industries and clients.

Brian lives with his wife outside Boston, where they can often be found running through the neighborhood or in a local road race. He also enjoys playing soccer, traveling, hiking and photography.
