Mitchell Christy

Mitchell Christy has a diverse background in the field of chemistry beginning with their undergraduate research at The University of Texas at Austin followed by an internship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Mitchell continued their education as a Ph.D. candidate and teaching assistant at the University of California, San Diego where they synthesized natural products and researched the role of glycans in cell signaling. Mitchell then transitioned to a Senior Scientist position at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., working in process chemistry before moving on to Avidity Biosciences, Inc., where they will begin working as a Scientist II in 2023.

Mitchell Christy completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin during the years 2010 to 2014. Later in 2014, they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from UC San Diego, where they completed their studies in the year 2018.
