Qingying Meng

Qingying Meng has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics. Most recently, starting in November 2021, they worked as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. Prior to that, they held the role of a Bioinformatics Scientist, Translational Research at Ferring Pharmaceuticals from 2019 to 2021. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Bioinformatician at BASF. Qingying also has experience as a Bioinformatician at Dart NeuroScience LLC from 2015 to 2018. During their time at Dart NeuroScience, they played a key role in drug discovery projects, conducted multi-omics data analysis, and utilized computational biology methods for drug discovery. Before that, they worked at the University of California, Los Angeles as a Postdoctoral Associate and Assistant Project Scientist from 2012 to 2015, where they focused on bioinformatics, integrative genomics, and systems biology. Qingying also gained research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sage Bionetworks from 2011 to 2012 and at The Jackson Laboratory from 2008 to 2011. Qingying Meng started their career as a Ph.D. Candidate at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN), A*STAR, Singapore, where they completed their doctoral research from 2004 to 2008.

Qingying Meng's education history includes a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the National University of Singapore, which was obtained from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that, Qingying Meng earned a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Nanjing University from 1999 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, Qingying Meng obtained a certification in "From the Laboratory to Leadership" from The Leadership Edge in November 2022. This was followed by a certification in "Combined Statistical Training for Both Non-Clinical and Clinical Studies" from The Center for Professional Innovation & Education (CfPIE) in April 2016.
