Tara Carmack

Tara Carmack has extensive experience in the field of biostatistics. Tara currently holds the position of Associate Director, Biostatistics at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. starting from June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Neurocrine Biosciences as a Principal Biostatistician from July 2019 to June 2022 and as a Senior Biostatistician from April 2018 to June 2019. Before that, they were employed at Eli Lilly and Company as a Statistician from July 2016 to April 2018. Tara also has experience working at Quintiles, where they held the positions of Senior Biostatistician from April 2016 to July 2016, Biostatistician II from April 2014 to March 2016, and Biostatistician I from July 2012 to March 2014. Prior to their industry experience, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Associate at The Ohio State University from September 2011 to June 2012, and as a Statistical Intern at Battelle from June 2011 to June 2012. Tara began their career as a Statistical Research Assistant at The Ohio State University from November 2010 to July 2011.

Tara Carmack earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Bioscience from Arizona State University, which they completed between the years 2002 and 2006. Following this, they attended The Ohio State University from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics. In 2009, Tara also briefly studied Statistics at Arizona State University, although they did not complete a degree in this field. Additionally, in April 2012, they received the SAS Base Programming certification from SAS.
