John Suter

John Suter is an R&D Scientist at Avient Corporation since August 2022, with a robust history in product development and materials chemistry. Prior experience includes roles at PPG Industries from March 2015 to August 2022, where John held several positions including Product Development Project Leader and Senior Development Chemist. At The University of South Dakota, John contributed as a graduate student from January 2010 to March 2015, focusing on the synthesis and characterization of nano materials and modeling light interactions. Previous experience includes a graduate role at Ohio University, where John studied semiconducting Quantum Dots and served as a teaching assistant, and a laboratory technician position at Diamond Vogel Paints. John holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Materials Chemistry from the University of South Dakota, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Northwestern College.
