Shan Liu, Ph.D., is a Senior R&D Engineer at Avient Corporation, working in the Corporate Technology group. They received their Ph.D. in Polymer Engineering from the University of Akron in August 2024. Previously, Shan served as an ORISE fellow at the FDA, contributing to key projects and presenting research that was recognized by the FDA chief scientist. During their studies, Shan held roles as a lab manager and graduate assistant, where they focused on formulating innovative materials and supervising undergraduate labs.
