David Rutherford has extensive work experience in the field of marketing and communications. David currently holds the position of VP Communications and Corporate Sustainability at Aviso Wealth since October 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as Vice President, ESG Services at NEI Investments from May 2019 to October 2021. David also served as VP Accounts & Client Strategy at ext. marketing from November 2018 to April 2019. Additionally, they held the positions of Vice President, Product Marketing, Asset Management at Aviso Wealth from April 2018 to November 2018 and Vice President Marketing at NEI Investments from August 2016 to April 2018. Before their career in finance, David worked as a self-employed painter from December 1984 to December 1999.

David Rutherford has a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), which they obtained from 1977 to 1981. David then pursued Diploma studies in painting, sculpture, and drawing at the Toronto School of Art from 1987 to 1990. Later, they completed a Masters of Science in Media and Communications with a specialization in Social Psychology at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1999 to 2000. Recently, from 2019 to 2020, they acquired a Graduate Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability from the University of Toronto - University of St. Michael's College.
