Gary Lyons

Gary Lyons, MBA, SIOR, CCIM, serves as Principal at Avison Young since March 2020, having previously held multiple leadership roles within the company focused on Capital Markets in South Carolina and Savannah, GA, since July 2018. With extensive experience in investment sales and consulting, Gary has contributed significantly to Avison Young's revenue growth, encompassing various asset types such as office, medical office, industrial, retail, and multifamily. Prior to Avison Young, Gary held the position of Vice President at Lincoln Harris, where responsibilities included expanding the investment brokerage business in the Raleigh/Durham region, and worked at Sperry Van Ness as Managing Director, overseeing comprehensive business operations. Gary began his career as Director of Transmission Systems at Scientific Atlanta, managing a substantial P&L. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from Georgia State University, along with CCIM designation from the CCIM Institute.
