Ivan Guz

Ivan Guz is the current Deputy CEO at Avito. Ivan has also previously worked as a SPSS Technical Sales for Russia and the CIS at IBM from August 2010 to April 2013. There, they were responsible for designing predictive analytics solutions across different industries, such as banking, transport, telco, retail, oil and gas, and energy. Ivan was also in charge of interpretation analytical models and results to business sponsors, in addition to consulting Business Partners and clients on the scope and schedule of advanced anaytics projects. Furthermore, they provided technical mentorship for all IBM advanced analytics implementation projects in Russia and the CIS.

Prior to working at IBM, Ivan Guz was the COO at Forecsys from June 2006 to August 2010. As COO, they managed the data mining presale team and also acted as a data mining expert. Ivan was responsible for project scope and budget estimation, contract documents preparation, designing data mining solutions based on Forecsys software, negotiation with top-management of the client, system demonstration, and management of projects in banking and telecom.

Ivan Guz started their career as a developer at Physicon in May 2002 and left the company in October 2002.

Ivan Guz has a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), with a focus on ensemble modeling. Ivan also has a Master of Science in Data Mining from the same school. Before that, they graduated from IBM Global Sales School with distinction.

Ivan Guz reports to Vladimir Pravdivy, CEO. Some individuals on their team include Kirill Votyakov - Managing Director, Avito.Auto, Harmut Fink - Markeplace Director. They work with Artem Kumpel - Managing Director Avito.Jobs&Services, Maxim Sapronov - CTO, and Katya Kharitonova - Financial Director.
