Sid Varma

Sid Varma is a Senior Manager in Brand and Corporate Affairs at Aviva, a position they currently hold. Previously, Sid served as Head of R&D Strategy and Innovation at the Government Office for Science, where they led a new interdisciplinary team to advocate for increased government spending on science and technology during the pandemic. Sid has also held senior policy advisory roles at HM Treasury, leading significant initiatives like the £2bn Future Fund. They gained experience as a Policy Fellow at the University of Cambridge and began their career at Brunswick Group, working on communications for major corporations. Sid earned both a Bachelor of Science in Economic History and a Master of Science in Population and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
