Heather Vana

Heather Vana, APR, is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications, content strategy, and media relations. Currently serving as Senior Director of Communications at Avnet since August 2019, Heather oversees the company’s communications strategy, including ESG initiatives, while managing a global team of 12. Prior to this role, Heather worked as a Freelance Writer and Content Strategist, providing editorial support to various clients since 2016. Heather's previous positions include Editorial Director at Avnet, Senior Communications Manager at Longboard Asset Management, and Online Communications and Social Media Manager at PetSmart Charities, among others. Heather holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in English from the University of Illinois Chicago.
