James Lau

James Lau is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as a Senior Director at Avnet since February 2007. In this role, James leads the FPGA Design Solutions team, emphasizing high-performance machine learning, embedded vision, and video processing capabilities. Prior to this, James held the position of Associate Director at Avnet, focusing on demand creation and market penetration for FPGA solutions and consumer products. Before joining Avnet, James founded Nexxe Systems, where key responsibilities included solution consulting and program management for electronic solutions with an emphasis on FPGA systems. James holds a degree from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
