Wouter Vanmechelen

Wouter Vanmechelen is an experienced tax professional currently serving as Senior Director EMEA Tax at Avnet since October 2016, having previously held positions as EMEA Income Tax Director and Senior Tax Manager EMEA within the same organization. Prior to Avnet, Wouter held the role of Business Unit Manager Legal at Intertrust Group for a brief period and worked as a Tax Manager at Deloitte Belgium from September 2008 to December 2015. Additionally, Wouter contributed as a Tax Consultant to the Ingersoll Rand EMEA tax team during a long-term assignment from Deloitte Belgium and completed a one-year assignment as a Senior Tax Consultant with Deloitte Tax LLP at the ICE desk in New York. Wouter holds a Master's degree in Law from KU Leuven and a Master in Tax Law from Fiscale Hogeschool, complemented by early education in Latin and Modern Languages from Sint-Lodewijkscollege Brugge.
