Jose M.

Jose M. has over 19 years of work experience in the software industry. Jose began their career in 2000 as a Software Quality Engineer at Electronic Data Systems, where they analyzed requirements and software design documents, wrote test plans and integration and regression test cases, developed data-driven automated tests, and performed black and gray box testing. Jose also held the roles of Systems Analyst and Software Developer at Electronic Data Systems.

In 2007, Jose M. moved to Hewlett-Packard, where they worked as a Business Analyst. Jose was responsible for documenting customer requests and creating use case documents, and utilized Borland Together for UML activity and class diagrams.

In 2008, Jose M. held two positions. At Softtek, they were a Test Automation Lead, and at DATAMARK, Inc., they were a Software Validation Manager. In this role, they managed the software validation department and Quality Assurance team, established best practices, provided mentoring, and managed the department's budget.

In 2009, Jose M. began working at OpenText as a Quality Engineering Lead. Jose was responsible for integrations between document annotation, publishing, and redaction and enterprise content management systems, and wrote test plans, utilized Jira for user stories, tasks, and issues.

From 2016 to 2019, Jose M. worked at Prudential Financial as a QA Senior Specialist. Jose designed and developed a Selenium framework integrated with ALM/junit/jenkins, and supported a Cucumber-based framework. Jose also tested ETL and Data Warehouse using Informatica DVO.

In 2019, Jose M. became the Director of Quality Assurance at Avolve Software.

Jose M. started their educational journey in 1992 when they attended The University of Texas at El Paso, though they did not obtain a degree. Jose then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez in 1998. Most recently, they have been enrolled in the Winemaking certificate program at Texas Tech University since 2022. Additionally, they have obtained the Foundation Level Software Testing certification from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
