Cathy Tarver

Cathy Tarver, MBA, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research operations and grants administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since July 2006, currently serving as the Director of Research Operations. In this role, Cathy oversees financial administration and operational direction for the School of Nursing's research activities and provides education on grants management. Previous positions include Associate Director of the Federal Grants Area and Senior Grants and Contracts Officer, where Cathy has honed skills in guiding research grant proposals and ensuring compliance with various regulations. Additionally, Cathy operates as an Independent Travel Agent through Cathy’s One Stop Travel and provides notary services through Cathy's Notary Services, while also working as an Independent Sales Representative for Avon. Cathy holds an MBA in Health Care Administration and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
