Mark Sayer

Mark Sayer has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Mark started their career at Ernst & Young in 1989 in the Transaction Services Division. Mark later joined Macquarie Bank's Investment Banking Group in 1993 and worked there until 2004. Following that, they were a part of Babcock & Brown's Infrastructure Group from 2004 to 2009. Mark then joined the China PE Company in 2009, where they worked in the Cross-border investment and finance advisory team until 2010.

In 2013, Mark joined Impact Investment Exchange (Asia) as the Director of Asia IIX, Corporate Finance and worked there until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Director at Empact Pte Ltd, a social enterprise providing intermediary and consulting services to non-profit organizations and social enterprises.

Mark's work experience also includes being a Member - Asia at Toniic, a global action community for impact investors from 2015 to 2019. Mark served as a Director at Drayhall Group, an investment business providing capital and strategic support to various companies, from 2010 onwards.

In 2016, Mark became an Impact Investment Manager at RAISE SG, an organization focused on developing the social enterprise sector in Singapore. And in 2017, they joined AVPN (Asian Venture Philanthropy Network) as the CFO, where they currently work.

Mark Sayer attended the University of Melbourne from 1986 to 1988, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Economics. Mark then went on to study at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia from 1990 to 1991, earning a CA designation in Accounting, Audit & Taxation. In 1992 to 1993, Mark Sayer attended FINSIA and completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
