Max Song

GLI Fellow

Max Song is a prominent figure in the fields of sustainability and technology governance, currently serving as a Contributor for the Crypto Impact and Sustainability Accelerator at the World Economic Forum. Max has an extensive background, holding positions as an Independent Board Director at Ping An OneConnect Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Co-Founder of Sustainable Bitcoin Standard, Founder of Carbonbase, and Chairman of the ImpactNFT Alliance. Additionally, Max is Co-Chair of the IEEE Planet Positive 2030 Forestry Committee and a GLI Fellow at AVPN. Recognized as a Forbes China 30 Under 30 Energy Honoree, Max also serves as a Venture Partner at Pacific Century Group and a Pledger in the Climate Action Cohort at Founders Pledge. Academically, Max is pursuing a PhD in Public Policy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, having previously obtained a Master of Public Administration from Schwarzman Scholars and a Master of Management from Tsinghua University. Educational credentials also include a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics-Biology from Brown University.
