Leo Siu

Leo Siu is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in biochemistry and molecular biology. Currently, at Avro Life Science since April 2021, Leo focuses on evaluating therapeutic potentials and conducting research on drug and gene delivery methods for rare diseases. Previous roles include serving as a Laboratory Technician at Public Health Ontario, where Leo trained peers in Covid testing and managed RNA extraction processes, and as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Dalriada Therapeutics, where Leo established a new laboratory and optimized various molecular techniques. Prior experience also includes a leadership role in gene synthesis at Bio Basic Inc. and positions in research and engineering at HKUST and TUV Rheinland Hong Kong. Leo holds a PhD in Pathology from Western University, an M.Phil. in Chemistry from The University of Hong Kong, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
