Joris Sijs is an experienced professional in the fields of estimation, control theory, and robotics. Currently serving as a System Architect at Avular since January 2023, Joris Sijs is responsible for the design of robotic products and shaping the technology vision and roadmap for the company. As a Senior Research Fellow at TU Delft, Joris Sijs engages in fundamental research and supervises PhD students. Previous roles include a Scientist at TNO Technical Sciences, where Joris Sijs led programs developing software for autonomous systems, and visiting researcher positions at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and KTH Stockholm, focusing on data fusion and communication challenges.
