Control Discipline Lead at Avular

Rob Ruigrok currently serves as Control Discipline Lead at Avular, overseeing project planning, resource allocation, and line management of control engineers since April 2022. Previously, as a Control Engineer at Avular, Rob focused on robotics software solutions. Rob’s experience includes working as a Path Planning Engineer at 2getthere, where path planning algorithms for autonomous transit systems were developed, and as a Research Engineer at Delft University of Technology, optimizing large-scale ride-sharing algorithms. Rob has also led vehicle dynamics for the Formula Student Team Delft and held multiple industrial placements during studies at the University of Cambridge. Rob holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering - Control Systems from UC Berkeley, a Master’s in Industrial Systems, Manufacturing and Management from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
