Chad Baumer

Chad Baumer has a diverse work experience in various industries. Chad is currently working as a Decisions Solutions Developer at AVYST since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Engineering Associate at Tower Engineering Professionals from May 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining Tower Engineering Professionals, Chad worked at the City of Lakewood for a significant period. Chad started as a Parks Maintenance Specialist in June 2014 and continued in this role until May 2021. In this position, they were responsible for overseeing the maintenance of approximately 50 acres of native, turfgrass, and recreation areas. Chad also supervised a team of two staff members for routine maintenance tasks such as trash removal, grass mowing, and weed trimming. Additionally, Chad provided training on irrigation repairs, proper pruning of trees and shrubs, and troubleshooting park-related issues.

During their tenure at the City of Lakewood, Chad also worked as a Construction Inspector (Engineering) from September to December 2015. In this role, they collaborated with contractors to ensure compliance with the city's codes for drainage, sidewalks, and roadways. Chad reviewed site plans for erosion control, grading, infrastructure placement, and traffic control. Chad also assisted inspectors in evaluating various aspects, including sidewalk depth and slope, subgrade and paved road compaction, rebar spacing, and erosion control best management practices.

Chad Baumer attended Colorado State University from 2011 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In addition to their degree, Chad also earned several certifications including a Public Pesticide Applicator License in Turf Pest Control and Ornamental Pest Control from the Colorado Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator Program in 2018. Chad also passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam administered by the State of Colorado in 2015 and obtained a Storm Water Management and Erosion Control Certification from the City of Lakewood in the same year.
