Cliff Chaney

Cliff Chaney has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Cliff currently serves as the Vice President of Software Engineering at AVYST since March 2017. Previously, between November 2010 and February 2017, they worked at ACORD as a Senior Architect, where they provided product ownership, management, architecture, subject matter expertise, and industry leadership. Cliff also worked as a Program Director from May 2003 to November 2010, where they provided program and product leadership, development, and direction in the insurance industry.

Before ACORD, Cliff worked at Mutual of Omaha from September 2002 to May 2003 as the Director of Agent Technologies. Cliff was responsible for department and project management, as well as the development of agent web portal, software design, and training.

Prior to Mutual of Omaha, Cliff served as the VP of Technology & Brokerage Products at Insurance Technologies from September 2000 to September 2002. Cliff reported to the Chief Enterprise Officer and was responsible for technical partnerships, business development, product direction, brand development, and new product development.

Cliff's career began at Allstate, where they worked as the Director of Software Development from September 1996 to September 2000. Cliff played a crucial role in driving the product development of desktop software for the independent agent market, leading all aspects of software development and mentoring teams in design and architecture best practices.

Cliff Chaney has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Union College (NE).
