Barry Rafferty

Barry Rafferty has a diverse work experience. Barry is currently working at Aware Super as an Investment Strategy employee, focusing on strategic asset allocation, capital market assumptions, and macroeconomic modeling. Prior to this, they worked at Cbus Super Fund as a Quantitative Analyst, where they conducted research on asset allocation, risk modeling, quantitative equities strategies, and performance analysis. Barry also worked at the University of Melbourne as a Lecturer in Economics, conducting research and teaching subjects in econometrics and quantitative methods in finance. Barry's earlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Student at Duke University, where they also served as a Research and Teaching Assistant, and as an Internship at Indecon. Additionally, they participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program as an Assistant Language Teacher, where they planned and delivered English classes and organized cultural events.

Barry Rafferty pursued their education in the field of economics, starting with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. Barry furthered their studies at Trinity College Dublin, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Economics between 2005 and 2006. Barry's quest for knowledge in economics led him to Duke University, where they completed their academic journey by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from 2007 to 2012.
