Ivan Hou

Ivan Hou has a strong background in data science, actuarial analysis, and investment strategy. Ivan is currently working as an Investment Strategy Analyst at Aware Super. Prior to that, Ivan worked as a Data Science Intern at Suncorp Group, where they discovered significant experimental database mismatches and developed a natural language programming solution. Ivan also served as an Actuarial Intern at Suncorp Group and the National Disability Insurance Agency, where they provided monthly projections, developed dashboards, and analyzed expense drivers. Ivan has also held internships at First State Super, where they led an investigation into updated means-testing rules and proposed business rules for retirement advisory portfolios. Additionally, they worked as a Wharton Analytics Fellow at Wharton Analytics Fellows and as a Chemistry Olympiad Teacher at James Ruse Agricultural High School. Ivan's experience demonstrates their strong analytical skills and ability to apply data-driven insights to various industries.

Ivan Hou attended James Ruse Agricultural High School from 2012 to 2017. Ivan then pursued a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies (Co-op) at UNSW from 2018 to 2021, with a focus on Actuarial Science, Finance, and Computer Science. In 2019, Ivan also had the opportunity to study abroad at The Wharton School, where they explored Business and Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Ivan obtained certifications as a Microsoft Office Specialist in Excel 2016 from Microsoft, including both the regular certification in October 2018 and the Excel 2016 Expert certification in April 2019.
