Varun Khushal has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Varun began their career as a Pedestrian Safety Promoter at the University of Technology Sydney, where they worked on a campaign to raise awareness about pedestrian safety. Varun then worked as a Football Referee at the Macarthur District Football Referees Association.

In 2020, Varun joined Westpac as a Junior Technical Consultant, providing technical support for the migration of users to the Windows 10 Operating System. Varun also served as a Project Coordinator for the WorkSMARTER program, managing staff resource management and ensuring clear communication throughout the migration process.

During their time at VIPeople, Varun worked as a Casual Event Staff member, delivering excellent customer service to event attendees.

Most recently, Varun worked at Aware Super as a Data Engineer, where they served as the technical subject matter expert of the Advanced Analytics environment. Varun designed and deployed a meta-data-driven framework integrating Snowflake with Microsoft Azure, enabling the Data Science team to develop machine learning models.

Varun Khushal completed their education at the University of Technology Sydney from 2018 to 2021. Varun earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a Bachelor of Creative, Innovation and Intelligence, focusing on Data Analytics. Furthermore, they obtained several additional certifications to enhance their skillset. In June 2020, they completed the SAS Programming Essentials course offered by SAS. In March 2020, they successfully completed the Python: Data Analysis course through LinkedIn. In February 2020, they completed the Learning R course, also on LinkedIn. In July 2019, Varun obtained a certification in SQL for Data Analysis from Udacity. Additionally, in June 2019, they completed the Data@ANZ Program offered by InsideSherpa.
