William Chen

William Chen has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. William currently holds the position of Senior Actuarial Analyst at Aware Super since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ANZ as a Data Analyst from June 2021 to June 2022, where they were responsible for building data pipelines, SQL code, and Qliksense dashboards. William also conducted analytics work and developed performance reporting.

Before ANZ, William was an Actuarial Analyst at Preddle from January 2021 to May 2022. William focused on General Insurance Pricing, developing pricing models and conducting research projects.

In 2020, William worked as an Analyst at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from December 2020 to February 2021, where they collaborated with the global partnerships team on project engagements. William developed an internal operating strategy to improve cloud support for clients. Prior to AWS, they were an Operations Consultant at Accenture from July 2020 to December 2020. In this role, William designed an operating model for a Big 4 Australian Bank and contributed to human capital modeling.

William also has experience at National Australia Bank as a Technology and Operations Team Member from November 2018 to July 2020, and at Macquarie Group as a Pricing Analyst from November 2019 to February 2020. At Macquarie Group, they automated a pricing model using Python and completed a technology rotation.

William Chen's education history includes a Master of Commerce in Actuarial Science from Melbourne Business School. William also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Science from the University of Melbourne, as well as an Extension Program in Mathematics from the same university. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021.
