Young Tan has a diverse work experience in the actuarial field. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at Russell Investments as an Actuarial Analyst and later as a Consulting Analyst. In 2016, they joined UniSuper as a Product Actuary and then advanced to the role of Manager, Actuarial & Research in 2019. Most recently, in 2022, Young Tan started working at Aware Super as an Investment and Retirement Actuary.
Young Tan obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Actuarial Studies from the University of Melbourne. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from RMIT University. In 2016, Tan became a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) from the Actuaries Institute Australia.
