Anna Markowska is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership across various roles at AWE since November 2013. Currently serving as the Delivery Director Fissile (Interim), Anna oversees the strategic leadership and stewardship of Fissile manufacturing and research capabilities. Previously, Anna held the position of Delivery Director Laboratory Sciences & System Trials, focusing on the coordination of research, development, and system validation programs. As Head of Environment, Anna provided strategic direction to ensure compliance with environmental obligations and implemented a comprehensive Environmental Sustainability Strategy. In an advisory capacity to the CEO and MD, Anna supported the management of daily operations. Earlier in career, Anna worked at Dow as a Materials Scientist and Technician, specializing in polyurethane materials development. Anna holds a PhD in Enzymatic Fuel Cells and an MChem in Chemistry with Forensic Investigation from the University of Surrey.
